MSM Log Number 3

MSN- A Mum is very concerned that their child is being bullied through msn

The mum is anxious and isn't very technical, she only uses the pc occasionally to look at her email.

She needs help to setup logging of all the conversations for her child and then how to look at the log and print it off.

You need to provide a suitable training guide to help this user with a solution.

Methods which can be used for trainning are by video recording, podcats and by tutorial .

Open MSN Instant Messenger.

Step 2Select "Show Menu" at the top of the screen.

Step 3Go to "Tools" and select "Options."

Step 4Pick "Messages." Look for "Message History." Check the box "Automatically keep a history of my conversations."

Step 5Check the box "Show my last conversation in new conversation if you choose.

Step 6Save your conversations to a folder. There is a folder already selected, but you can change it by selecting "Change" and picking the folder where you want to save the conversations. You can make a new folder or pick one that is already there. You save all conversations to the same folder but each file has its own name.

Step 7Hit the "Apply" button and then "OK" and you will save conversations every time you talk to anyone on MSN messenger.

To print a conversation history that was automatically saved by MSN Messenger:
In the main MSN Messenger window, on the File menu, click View Message History.
Click the name of the person whose conversation you want to print.
Click OK.
Press CTRL + P.
